Meeting notes
What it is: give Orbit a meeting transcript or your rough notes, and it turns them into a saved, searchable record — decisions, action items, who committed to what. Then ask about any past meeting in plain language.
Try it
Save a meeting:
Saved “Pricing call with Jordan”. Key outcomes: you agreed to the updated tier, Jordan owns the contract redline by Friday, you owe the pricing one-pager. Want me to draft the follow-up email from this?
Ask about it later:
From your notes (Jul 29): Jordan owns the contract redline, due Friday. You owe the pricing one-pager in return.
What you can feed it
- A transcript from any recorder (paste it into the dashboard chat).
- Zoom or Meet’s built-in recording notes.
- Your own rough bullet notes, right after a call.
Orbit writes the structured summary and action items itself — you just hand it the raw text.
What it unlocks
- Ask anything later: decisions, commitments, “when did we discuss X?”
- Real follow-ups: the post-meeting follow-up can be drafted from what was actually said, not a generic recap.
- Meeting prep gets deeper: prep cards can pull what happened last time you met the same people.
Notes are private to you. Saving a meeting never shares it with your workspace — teammates keep their own notes.
Or send the notetaker
Don’t want to paste anything? Ask Orbit to join the call for you:
Done — “Orbit Notetaker” will join your 2:00 call. You’ll get the recap here after the meeting.
Your 2:00 with Jordan wrapped. Key outcomes: updated tier agreed, Jordan owns the contract redline by Friday. Want me to draft the follow-up email from these notes?
- Works with Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams links.
- The bot joins visibly as “Orbit Notetaker” — everyone on the call can see it.
- Notes, action items, and the recap text arrive automatically after the call — same private notes, zero pasting.
- Meeting prep cards will offer it too: “want me to send the notetaker?”
Always-on recording
Don’t want to ask each time? Opt in once:
Auto-record is on for meetings with people outside your company. Each morning I’ll schedule the notetaker for the day’s qualifying video meetings — it joins at meeting start, and everyone on the call can see it.
- Opt-in, never default — recording calls is your call, so Orbit never turns this on by itself.
- Choose external meetings only (recommended) or all meetings.
- Solo blocks, holds, and meetings without a video link are never recorded.
- Say “stop recording my meetings” anytime to turn it off.
