Email triage

What it is: Orbit sorts your inbox for you. Every incoming email gets classified and labeled, and you only get texted when something genuinely needs you. The inbox stays organized; your phone stays quiet.

Try it

OOrbitiMessage
can you keep my inbox organized?

Inbox triage is on. New email gets sorted under Orbit/ labels (To Respond, FYI, Newsletter, Notification, Invoice, Promotion) and I’ll only text you when something is genuinely urgent.

The labels

Every email gets exactly one:

LabelWhat lands there
Orbit/To RespondA human wrote to you and expects a reply
Orbit/FYIHuman-written, no reply needed
Orbit/NewsletterSubscription content
Orbit/NotificationAutomated tool and system mail
Orbit/InvoiceBills, receipts, payment confirmations
Orbit/PromotionMarketing

All Orbit labels live under their own Orbit/ folder in Gmail, so they never mix with labels you manage yourself.

When Orbit texts you

Only for the emails you’d want to be interrupted for: a clear deadline or explicit ask, a reply you’re waiting on, a meeting coming up, or a sender you’ve told Orbit is important. Newsletters, notifications, and promotions never page you.

Want a one-time cleanup instead? Say “catch me up on my inbox” and Orbit does a single labeling pass over recent unread mail, then texts you a short list of what actually needs a reply.

What Orbit will never do

  • Delete or trash mail — the capability isn’t even loaded.
  • Archive anything unless you explicitly ask.
  • Touch labels you created yourself.

What it needs

  • Gmail connected.
  • A verified number for the urgent texts.
