Urgent-email alerts
What it is: Orbit watches your inbox and texts you the moment something time-sensitive lands, so you never miss what matters while you’re away from your laptop.

Heads up: Jordan just emailed about the contract and is asking to confirm by end of day. Want me to draft a reply or pull up the thread?
draft a reply saying I’ll confirm by 4pm
Drafted and saved to your inbox for a quick review before it sends.
You didn’t have to be watching your inbox. Orbit was.
What counts as urgent
Orbit looks for the things you’d actually want interrupted for:
- A meeting starting soon that you haven’t confirmed.
- A reply on a thread you’re waiting on.
- A message from someone important to you.
- Anything with a clear deadline or explicit ask.
Ordinary newsletters, receipts, and notifications don’t trigger an alert, only the things that need you.
What it needs
- Gmail connected, so Orbit can see incoming mail.
- A verified number, so it can text you.
That’s it — the moment both are true, alerts are on automatically. No setup, no toggle to find.
Good to know
- Fast. Alerts arrive within a couple of minutes of the email landing.
- Yours only. Orbit watches your inbox for you. A teammate’s alerts come from their own inbox. Nobody sees anyone else’s mail.
- Tunable. Tell Orbit “only ping me for emails from my team” or “don’t alert me after 7pm” and it adjusts.
You can reply right from the text thread (“draft a response saying I’ll review it tomorrow”) and Orbit takes it from there.
